IC Realtime announced it has secured a $2 million Series A funding round to accelerate development of its software platform and expand AI capabilities.
The round was led by a personal investment from John Hatherly, founder of Wynnchurch Capital, with participation from existing investors.
According to the announcement, the funding is intended to advance IC Realtime’s platform work across video management, edge intelligence, and cloud-based analytics in a more unified and scalable environment.
Hatherly is also joining IC Realtime’s board of directors, a move positioned as strategic oversight as the company expands software and AI initiatives.
In the release, Hatherly cited the industry’s shift toward more software-enabled security platforms as a key driver behind the investment.
IC Realtime founder and CEO Matt Sailor said the financing provides new resources and guidance to accelerate software development and advance “intelligent security technology” efforts.
The announcement also reiterated IC Realtime’s market footprint across dealer, integrator, commercial, and consumer channels, along with distribution details and prior industry recognition.
The company, founded in 2006, described the raise as support for its next stage of growth as it approaches a 20-year milestone and expands next-generation AI and software capabilities.
